Yeah, August dresses him up in a costume, he dances around at the front of the stage, there's a band playing behind him, cool countdown signs, and a lot of confetti at the end. Oh, yeah, time slows down, too... :-) Really, you just gotta see it. -

Lots of people tried to get me on the party bus, but I stayed and goddamnit I don't even remember the hairy apes show :( I guess I over stoked. I usually have better control than that. I didn't remember meeting Daev that night either.
I do remember coming out of my blurrrrr and HABMX were packing up their gear. Darnit!!! -

Thu, January 3, 2008 - 7:54 PM12 Galaxies was the first night I saw David Nelson, b/c of the countdown, and the first night I saw Molly with Daev down in front, she was kind of pushing me. ;) Of course I was kind of out of it too, just standing there for awhile. At one point I just sat down in front of Rajiv.
He does do a good countdown and now it's tradition.

good point.....I thought I heard a reference to Ali Baba Ganoush
Ali Baba was from Arabia and Baba Ganoush is from the Middle East also. So a valid question still stands, right? -

he wasn't blue, he wasn't wearing a blue and gold robe, he didn't have four arms, he wasn't wearing a gold helmet and he didn't have a headdress of snakes.
no worries though cause he looked fuckin hilariously wonderful, he outfit served its purpose, and all was well!! -

Fri, January 4, 2008 - 12:49 AMI have had the pleasure of seeing David Nelson rock in the New Year with New Monsoon for four years in a row now--San Francisco, St. Petersburg, Denver, and Austin.
I can't wait to rock in 2009 with New Monsoon and Dave again. You can bet I will be there.
just 363 days to go. ...can't wait!
In the meantime, I'll see some of you in Colorado in 2 weeks and at the Fillmore in 5 weeks. ...who knows where else -
