  We stood in line for 12 hours at our local WalMart. Your best best will probably be to check out the places that people don't expect to find the systems, like a wholesale club.

  i just went to circuit city friday (1-6) and they had just got a shipment in that morning...so i guess i got lucky. I had only decided to buy one the night before.

  You've got to spend and you've got to spend big. I didn't give much creedence to the headphone attachment to the controller nor did it turn on (?). It has visualizations, plays DVDs, and stores CD music. Don't do a lot of online stuff. Something about a talking person in the house with green playful headphones on while gaming will make you less. Get some titles and spend some time alone gaming before you consider any online stuff, a lot of little credit card numbers going out you can do without. Just get the box and one game and keep it going.
