Ah, my first Big Bike, a 1976 XS650 I bought the Very Next Day after I got out of the military. Wrecked it 4 months later. Well, the wrecked one was a bummer but t least the insurance got am a better looking brand new 1977, dark blue tank with gold accents.
But then this hot Malaysian girl I went up the the Fresno mountains, jumped a fence, and did what young people SHOULD be doing instead of working. Lo and behold, when I returned, all there was left was the flattened aluminum can that I had leaned the kickstand onto.
I never had sex after that without having my XS650 within 5 feet of me. Sure it made some things awkward, but a man's bike is his castle.
Anybody ever ride one of the three cylinder XS750's of the same era? Smooth mother humpers they are, glide and coast on those Teflon forks.
OK mates, we generally hate you Australians unless we're taking your resources or manipulating your government, but I'll try and be nice and say hi.
