Wed, November 4, 2009 - 12:38 PMI have got some great items from Uberkuchi and Tribal Bazaar. Sharifwear is fun too. However my favorite finds are stuff I get from swaps either from tribe or swapmeets.

Re: Costume-y Awesome-ness?
Fri, November 6, 2009 - 6:44 AMI haven't purchased anything outside of what I can get at my studio, so I can't help much with that, but, I've been slowly gathering sources for when I eventually do.
I have my eye on www.etsy.com/shop/saadja - her belts are Uh-mazing! Connie is very nice and appreciative.
I gotta give a shout-out to my girl Adhara, she has some pretty creative jewelery and some awesome bra skills - www.etsy.com/shop/adharahernandez
I also have my eye on these folks - love the look of their jewelery : www.etsy.com/shop/YabYummiCreations

Re: Costume-y Awesome-ness?
Sat, November 7, 2009 - 6:36 PMFor jewelry, I really like: www.etsy.com/shop/monkeymeditates for the tribally-look you see on a lot of gauged ears...but these are for regular piercing holes!
If you want more of a Victorian feel to your jewelry, might I recommend: www.etsy.com/shop/kneehighsnpigtails
PS I <3 your podcast so very, very much! I've been listening to it when I work out and it makes the task pass so much more pleasantly, I even look forward to it a little bit...I know, crazy talk, but that's how awesome it is x-P -

OMG! I love monkey meditates and must have a pair! And that clockworkcouture.com is amazing as well!!!
I think somebody who has really changed belly dance fashion is Kathleen Crowley www.kathleencrowley.com/ and I love Red Camel (theredcamel.tripod.com/) for tribal jewelry!

Re: Costume-y Awesome-ness?
Tue, November 10, 2009 - 8:34 PMI love my pants from: marrakech@evergreentribalarts.com
They don't have them on the website (yet?) but the pants are awesome! Much cheaper than others ::cough::melos::cough:: but super amazing! They also come in tons of fabrics and they have a thick waist band so no muffin top! amazing! They are also really nice to work with, I met them at TribalCon and they really work to make you happy with your purchases. (should I say amazing again?)
Amazing! -
