Zoe entreets student with stories of her dance background
Here's an interesting story. Several of the students were waiting patiently when 1 of the younger students just popped right in and struck up a conversation with Zoe in the corner.
This particular student, had always appeared to be a cold and stern person, with a stony personality. yet, when she spoke to Zoe she was a whole other personality, totally VERY warm and soft.
What was interesting about it was that Zoe appeared to really have a soft spot for kids, because it showed to this kid enormously. She sat there and chatted with her for about 10 min' while everyone else was still politely waiting their turns before her. (Well, what can I say? We were in Cambridge, and people are very educated and polite there.)
I heard pretty much the entire conversation, while trying to politely stay my distance and wait. Mostly, Zoe just told the kid about her own background and education growing up, and so on, and included stories of being taught by folkloric dancer teachers, stories of disciples, general stories, and so on.
It didn't seem too big of a deal, however, whatever Zoe told to her it sent the kid into Cloud 9. Her eyes & face totally went into Dream Land, and floated away like that.
