Project: ZOMBIE ATTACK !

This idea came about one morning over breakfast at one of our favorite local diners; the Radial Cafe. We'd been trying to think up something like this for years, but it would always involve building something that would be too ambitious, or costume elements that would be too expensive for so many people; but that morning one of us came up with this idea (actually... it was Bryan...) which we latched onto like pitbulls. The idea got us so keyed up, we knew we just had to do it. We would attack Dragon*Con with an army of zombies. who wouldn't be excited?
We had a little get-together for our Dragon*Con friends to spread the word, and are we ever lucky that Chris Moore was interested in the project! I had laid out what I thought was a conservative, simple plan that would allow us to make lots of cheap zombies fast, using simple techniques. Chris pushed us to reach farther. I tried to keep his imagination grounded, and he tried to get me to be more ambitious. The result was a plan that was far more complicated than my initial outline; but well within the realms of possibility. With help from the other members of our little group; we experimented with and acquired all the supplies we needed and formulated a plan. A plan that included a raffle, a party, and a wardrobe of costumes!
More than anything, we just wanted to eliminate that part of the Con that we invariably always experienced, where we would look over the edge from Con*Suite at all the costumed folks and say: "we really should do something next year"... We wanted to do something that we'd always remember. Something that we'd say: "remember the year we did that..." and now not only is that true, but everyone else will remember it too! I hope you all had as much fun with this as we did!

now that we're past Dragon*Con, we find we still have massive supplies of Zombie Making Materials, and we enjoyed it so much, we decided to turn it into a little side venture. we have events on the horizen, so check out the threads here... you havn't missed out yet! the dead walk the Earth!
