It bothered me that there might be a genre movie made before 1990 that I hadn't seen; so I looked it up.
There wasn't a Salem's Lot movie.
wikipedia:
>>The novel has been adapted into a television mini-series twice, first in 1979 and years later in 2004. The novel was also adapted by the BBC as a seven part radio play in 1995.<<
Just thought I'd mention it....
...as I figured, I believe it was the miniseries you're remembering.

I defer.
that is indeed the version I was thinking of. I was five when it came out, so there's that. I had seen it on TV but I thought it was just one of those times they play old movies on TV.
another point in the "Loki is always right" column. -

Re: Salem's Lot
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 6:56 PMfive years old was fuzzy for me too, I can't be sure if It was Apollo 12 or 13 or 15 I saw take off, and I can recall the drive in theature, and i wanted to see Godzilla vs the smog monster, but me in my bunny suit pajamas in the back of a station wagon was watching "the sound of music"
salem's lot rocked as TV mini series, the eye;s gouged out harvest king at the end was a trip too. i think they used really big scissors? It was a long time ago to me?
houses in Salem have nice widows walks to view the ocean to see if their husband 's ship is coming back for sea. too.
