The Sun has risen from its Wintery grave, hungry for brains gone mushy in the rain.

All the Portland undead will gather at SEQUENTIAL ARTS GALLERY, at The Everett Station Lofts, on NW Broadway between Everett and Flanders, circa 8pm. There our specially-trained team of make-up artists will transform all comers into hideous ghouls before leading a massive Zombie Walk through Downtown to the front door of Dante's.

There we'll be greeted and treated to the post-apocalyptic hospitality of THE CHICKENHED DJs, maggotty maestros of Seattle's legendary Blood Feast parties. DJs Fukumup and Carny Jerkwater are repping the Hed for this party, the perfect combination of beauty and BRAAAAAINS.

In the midst of it all, East Bay auteur Zombie Dan Abbott presents his rock opera masterpiece DAY OF THE ZOMBIE, co-directed by Noah Mickens and featuring Meghann Rose, Chains Fleur de Mort, Jay Lieber, Uxepi Ipexu, Nico Bella, Nolan Ashley, and a horde of your favorites from the West Coast freak underground.

The final ingredient in this voodoo potion is provided by The Vaudevillains (members of Prozac-n-Peaches), who have promised us no less than 10 gruesome deaths for Day of the Zombie and a late-night set of their own twisted burlesque performance.

Come in zombie costume for $10 discount admission, or risk life and limb in your civilian gear for $15. Either way show up early - it's a Summer Party from beyond the grave, and it won't keep long in the heat.

More about
DAY OF THE ZOMBIE

Ten years in the making, this full theatrical performance of Dan Abbot's zombie rock opera Day of the Zombie rises from the grave Friday the 25th. Written amongst the thriving mutant underground of Oakland, CA; including members of Hobo Gobbelins, Clan ov thee Bleeding Eye, International Maggot Theater, Nommo Ogo, Extra Action Marching Band, and legions of related projects; Day of the Zombie has been presented as a band show and as a radio drama, toured alongside Thee 999 Eyes Ov Endless Dream, and premiered as a musical play co-directed by Abbot and Noah Mickens in 2006 at Someday Lounge.

The plot involves mad scientists, super-computers gone awry, and the destruction of human civilization, all within the first ten minutes of show. And then the real fun starts. Think of it as a more down-home version of Jesus Christ Superstar, with enough balls to tackle the best part of that story—the Ressurection. It's an all-singing, all-dancing, all-consuming deathfest.

Brains.

More About
CHICKENHED

Chickenhed are a marauding band of party fiends and conceptual terrorists who cannot be handily summarized. From festivals to warehouses to the open streets, Chickenhed leaves no turn unstoned with their wild-eyed nihilistic quasi-religion of beats and beatings.
